First post here! I just wanted to share my new Asymmetrical Granny Square halter top with you all.
I just finished it the other day and I'm really happy with how it turned out. The square is based on a pattern I saw in my mother-in-law's old Mon Tricot needlework book....unfortunately all the instructions were written in british notation (I only "get" American) so I just made my square up by looking at the picture. It's a little different but basically the same idea. Then I just added a few straps, lined it with an old tee-shirt and voila! New summer top perfect for dancing or festivals. Super exciting!
If you want to see my whole tutorial you can check it out at my blog, http://www.patchworkunderground.com (http://patchworkunderground.com/blog/2009/06/free-asymetrial-granny-square-top-tutorial).
I lay the whole project out step-by-step with pictures. =)
Let me know what you think!
