im wanting to make a blanket big enough to fit my bed, which is, i dunno, big, haha.
anyways, i looked on cpc and i didnt really find anything i like, and i was wondering if someone here might have a link to one?
cause right now im close to settling with like, 4 rows of color a, 1 row b, 1 row c, one row b, and then back to a if that makes sense. anyways, does anyone have any ideas?something thats more than one color

Measure your bed, deciding if you just want to cover the top or hang down one or more sides.
If you don't want stripes, you could do squares or rectangles or hexagons..any shape motif will work. Just figure out how large the motif is and multiply to get the size you want the afghan to be.

there was this one square thats somewhere on here, a winter rose, something like that, but i never can do the puff/popcorn, whatever its called, right. somehow i always end up adding an extra stitch somehwere.
anyways, im wanting something decorative, but i cant find what i want.

I made a granny square throw for my dad and step-mom. The center is like a sunflower but it goes to squares and each square is a little over a foot long. "99 granny squares to crochet" by leisure arts is the book I got it from. Number 97 was one pattern I used and #69 another. I just modified it so that both squares were the same size along with a third plain granny#26. I used my own colors and the last row were all the same color so when they were put together you could not see stitches. I used 5 colors, 2 pinks, yellow, and 2 greens. The yellow and pinks matched curtains and dk green matched rug in their room. Light green was just to look like leaves around flowers and to bring out the dark green. It turned out great and step-mom loved it, dad said that he liked the dk green and didn't mention how he felt about the pinks. When it is on the bed it looks like a flower garden. What are you into, do you like flowers? Stars? Snowflakes? Waves? There are many, many patterns out there that you can modify for anything. If you see a sweater pattern you like, you can figure the stitch and just make multiples for a blanket.

I don't know if it helps any but I think the instructions for the popcorn in that pattern includes how many loops you should have on your hook before completing the popcorn.
If you decide to use that pattern and need any help at all I'd be more than happy to assist ya.

Have you looked on You Tube to see if any of the stitches you are having trouble with are demonstrated?
