View Full Version : Looking for a purse pattern

Several years ago there was a really popular pattern going around for a purse that looked similar to Dot's Ditty Bag, except it had one long handle and one short one. The long one was threaded through the short one to "close" the purse and went over the shoulder/wrist. Does anyone remember it? I'd like to find a crochet version, either felted or not. Thanks! :hook

Once you have made the Ditty bag, it should be easy enough to just make it a tad larger or taller and work the last row as Dot does. You can make the long loop any size you want at that point. :wlol

One word o warning... use the foundation sc to make the long loop/handle as a ch run is very cutting when you add weight in the purse. I have a bag that I made with 2 squares and that ch run hurts :eek if I put all my laundry money in it at one time.

I remember that purse there was a crochet version. It is called A J's Wrist Bag. However, the pattern is not free anymore. You can see the posts here:

post 56 says the dimensions lying flat is 7.5 inches wide, the length of the pouch portion is 7 inches, the length of the longer strap is 6.5 inches, the length of the shorter strap is 2.5 inches, the oval base is 3 inches wide by 6.5 inches long.
