Hey everyone,

A friend is having a baby in a few months time and I would like to crochet a sweater or cardigan to send to her. Can you help me find a pattern?

I've only been crocheting for a couple of months, so I'd ideally like a pattern that is relatively straightforward and would like to stay away from pink and blue.

Thank you!

Kate

I've found nice simple patterns for babies at www.bellabambinaknits.blogspot.com (http://www.bellabambinaknits.blogspot.com) , and she only asks that you make one for charity if you use her patterns.

You just can't beat a BICO (Baby It's Cold Outside). it is very, very quick and easy to do as well.

If you need help with the sleeves.. just ask

The CAL that we did for this pattern will give you lots of ideas for colours and themes.

Kelly's sweater from bella bambina is one of my favorite sweaters to make. You can use any yarn and it turns out beautiful.

Here is one I made.
