Can anyone tell me if they have ever altered the BICO to fit a preemie baby? I was looking at it, and think it would be great to make for my friend.... well I need to make 4 of them LOL.... any suggestions would be appreciated!

I haven't altered this pattern, but I've sure done a lot of alterations. Just use lighter weight yarn with this one. It calls for Homespun, you could easily do it in worsted weight, or even a sportweight, and of course a smaller hook. It should turn out the same, just in miniature. If you do these, please post so we can see.

I did make it small enough for a Dora but it is a bathrobe version...

Once you know the technique it can be made any way you want and someone did make this for a baby... :think

There is a BICO thread in the Crochet Along section. I am slowly making my way through all of the posts there before making mine and there are links to some sizing charts and some tips for altering the BICO.

I agree, with a baby yarn and small hook I think it would work. Also take a look at
