After working on the Dragonfly Shawl, I could not help but start on a new lace weight shawl.. and I am so addicted to lace, I have 3 more lace shawls in the works. Here is the first in a collection of lace shawls I plan to come out with - the Pemberley! The pattern is available at the Crochet Garden (http://www.crochetgarden.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=71&products_id=297)! And here is the Pemberley on Ravelry (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pemberley-shawl).
Thank you for looking...!

It's really beautiful! I love the way the cables intertwine and form the negative shapes. the open look you've achieved is really unique and eye-catching. :hook

Me too... I used yarn from Knit Picks (http://www.knitpicks.com). It is from their Shadow Lace (http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/Shadow_Lace_Yarn__D5420127.html) line: "Oregon Coast Heather." I am totally in love. I am working a new shawl right in their Shadow Kettle dyed yarns... The colors are fantastic, and oh so soft! Now I wish fall would come already...

You nailed it! I was just playing around and wondered, hmm.. how it would it be, cables and lace in a lace weight? I have been wanting to try it for so long and finally took the plunge. Now my ideas have multiplied in implementing more of this type of stitching!

I really wanted to achieve that translucent look, with darker lines. When my son held it up to the sun (last photo, pre-edging) I was like, "Yeeehaw! This is it!"

How lovely! Lisa, you are one talented woman! I'm loving how you are using laceweight yarns and delicate stitches to achieve much daintier fabric than one usually sees in crochet. And I instantly thought of Elizabeth Bennet living at Pemberly after marrying Mr. Darcy. What a fun name to choose!

:clap:clap:c9:c9:c9 Love it Lisa! I saw the Dragonfly and related article a while ago. Since I am designing, and trying to sell, I only made one, for personal use. You are so talented and inspire me so much. My newest designs are based on lace, lace and more lace. Maybe one day I'll be as good as you. In the meantime, keep up the excellent work and I will keep buying your patterns for my own pleasure.
