Faire Isle A new design

This design went together totally different than the normal way I design. I started on the outside and worked my way into the center. I designed the motif to use in the begining Irish crochet class I intend to offer here on Crochetville later this year. Then I decided to see just what I could do with the motif so I started playing around. It definitely took a few different twists and turns as I progressed. But I am pleased with the results. I used three colors. Shell pink medium, Sage green, and White in size 10 thread. I used my 7/1.65mm hook. This was a great pack along project for me this summer. It measure 20 inches from point to point.

I have a bit more writing on the pattern. Though for the class I will do a much simpler project than the whole doily. I know I haven't been posting much here lately, been a crazy summer. Became a trainer at work and adjusting to the new responsibilities. Seems like my life is destined to teach.

Everytime you come up with a new doily, I think "that's the prettiest one yet!" :clap The truth is that they're all fantastic. I really like the motif this time. It's so delicate, and the beautiful flower is so well-framed. I'm continually amazed at your skill! Be sure to let us know if you publish this, OK? I don't think I have the patience for some of the larger ones you do, but I think I could do this motif and just be happy with one motif to lay on my dresser! :lol

I definitely practiced my frogging skills on this design. I finally quit weaving in ends until it was all done. Seems like I was constantly redoing something.

Beautiful! I just found this section of the Ville and will be coming here more often. I haven't been able to write down my creative deisgns into a pattern yet, but I think this will truly help me!
