Skill Level: Advanced beginner. Student must have a working knowledge of ch, sl st, sc, and dc. All other stitches will be taught in class.

Description: Kathy will cover two Irish Crochet techniques in this class:

How to make the rings used in traditional Irish Crochet patterns
How to work over a padding cord, a technique that gives motifs a 3D look and helps them hold their shape well

Class will include a pattern for an Irish Crochet butterfly along with a step-by-step photo tutorial.



Supplies Needed:

Your choice of thread or yarn, about 150-200 yards .
Appropriate size hook for fiber used

i have all kinds of yarn and all kinds of thread, i'm a tatter too. what was the butterfly done in?

I did the sample butterfly in size 10 thread. But since I teach technique I alway encourage people to work in what they are comfortable with.
