I've been a crocheter since 1971. I've been a designer since I was a teenager...out of necessity. My "business" is relatively new, though. Since the 2009 Chain Link Conference in Buffalo, NY, I've been working on a business plan to become a crochet designer and pattern seller.
Currently, I have some "to be published" patterns with some crochet magazines and yarn companies.
I have one pattern for sale online. You may have seen it already. It's a crochet version of the knit Baby Surprise Jacket (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/all-in-one-crochet-cardi-for-baby-nam-version). You can find it on Ravelry as a download. This is what one version looks like:
