This is a crocheted version of Elizabeth Zimmerman's knit Baby Surprise Jacket. For trademark purposes, it is called something different and it is constructed somewhat differently, plus it's crocheted. Making mitered corners in crochet is different than in knitting so some adjustments needed to be made.
At the moment you can only change the size of the garment by altering the hook and yarn thickness. I may someday work on other sizes.

It is available in UK or US terminology.

You can find this pattern for sale on my site (http://stitchstud.podbean.com/2008/06/28/all-in-one-crocheted-cardi-for-baby/) or on Ravelry (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/all-in-one-crochet-cardi-for-baby-nam-version).

That is really cool! I love the colors you chose. How large will the pattern go up to (in it's current form)?

It's from Teddy-bear size to 18 months...if you use bulky and an 8mm hook you could get a 2-year old's coat. :)

Just saw the Weight Loss Afghan CAL in your signature. How does that work? Link?

I tested this pattern for stitchstud on Ravelry. It is an awesome design. I used a double strand of size 10 thread and it makes a nice sweater for a large preemie.
