I am going to be making some christmas trees. Is there a certain yarn I can pick up with a snow effect, or something I can do on my own??
The pattern doesn't call for it, just thought it would be a neat added touch

As a newbie to crocheting I've noticed Homespun makes their holiday yarn which looks like it sparkes. Maybe that might give the impression of snow? Or fun fur??

:cheerI have made a crocheted christmas tree and worked in SCs with white Eyelash type yarn onto the outside edge.
Makes quite nice snow.
I am sure you will get other great ideas too.
Have fun.

If it's a really small tree or whatever, a light brush of white fabric paint with glitter over it works nicely. The clear glitter doesn't look quite right by itself, but it gives a good effect with white under it (and it's washable.)

Is the pattern you are working with beginner or easy?? :blush I would love to try it if you are willing to pass it on? ;)
