Looking through earlier threads, I saw one for crocheting with plastic bags. I saw a mention of sandals done that way, so I found the pattern to try. In it it says to make a larger size increase the beginning chain by three, but it never says what the original size is supposed to be! I think I found it on mama'scrochet or something like that (it is a discontinued site, but I found the pattern somewhere). Does anyone know what size it was supposed to be???:shrug

Here is the pattern: Recycled Hat and Sandals (http://web.************/web/20021219203327/http://www.crochetmamashouse.com/html/101155/recycled_hat_and_sandals.htm).
There's no indication of what the original size is, so you may just have to make one according to the pattern and see if it fits. :thinking2

Well, I made one sole, I ended up adjusting it a bit to make it fit (after adding 6 chains in the beginning). Now I just need to start on the strap. I really like the way it turns out--it looks more like twine or hemp than plastic bags to me. My sister has a digital camera and the programs on her computer to upload pics so I will have to ask her if I can borrow them and put some of my projects up on the board!:bounce
