I saw a little girl in the grocery store yesterday caring around a crocheted blankie. It was so precious I just couldn't help asking the mom if she made it. The girl's grandmother made it for her and the little girl was very attached to it. It was yellow with white edging. I don't know the stitch that was used, but it was very lacy looking.
