Shortly before I retired and moved from the DC area, I picked up an old unfinished project (at least 15 years old...) to work on. I found I didn't have all the instructions, but thought I could wing it anyway or change the pattern around a bit. A day or so later, while on the bus commutting to work, a woman across the aisle was crocheting. As I watched her work I realized that she was doing the exact same pattern I had just picked up. I asked her a few questions about the parts of the pattern I was missing and at the end of the line we both went our separate ways. I was so excited to have the right instructions, but I never saw her again on that bus. Was that a sighting or what???
