Like another poster,I grew up in the time that this was called a "bolero".I used a vest pattern that started from the top and worked it to just under the breasts.I then added a few more rounds of mesh pattern to the arm openings,then the fan edge.I doubled the yarn,made a chain-tie(adjustable to fit more sizes)and finished the ends off with a couple of beads.

I like the way it looks,but it's too big for me(yes,that size 6 woman!).

Let me know what you think and any changes that would make it better.

Its very hard to see it the pic is very dark perhaps you had a white shirt under it then maybe it would show better :hook

I love it! I wouldn't change a thing, 'cept for maybe one in white, and one in red, and ooooo one in black! ;)

Thanks for the comments!When my husband took the second pic,he cut off the pretty glass beads on the ends of the chain tie.I will try this with a smaller hook to see if I can get an XS/S size.

i absolutely love that color!!

It looks great just the way you made it. Another thing you could do is make another.. and make the sleeves shorter- like straps, or like a tank straps and keep that wave edging.. and you would have a cropped mini suntop!
