....to a fallen tortoise. My nephew is 10 and last Christmas we gave him a tortoise for a gift. We figured it would be a hearty animal that could withstand a child. We were told the critter would live over a 100 years if cared for properly. Unfortunately my nephew's tortoise, whom is named Joe, passed last week after only a year with him. So, I felt bad for the little guy and made him this. Needless to say his spirits were lifted. Hope you enjoy!

I am so sorry about your nephews tortoise...but your tribute has got to be the cutiest and sweetest thing going!

That is the cutest crocheted turtle I love it and I bet your nephew did to. I know it helped make things ok for him poor little guy.:angel

That is the best crocheted turtle I have ever seen! And belive me I know. I am a turtle person and have not seen one cuter out there. Your nephew is so lucky to have such a great aunt!

Where did you get the pattern. I love the smiley face!
