I finally tested this for Donna (Ninakate). She wrote the pattern for adult sizes, but her patterns are easily adaptable to children, just starting chain measurement changes, which she explains in her patterns.


Anyway, it's done in Red Heart Super Saver Bikini-Used only about 4 ounces of yarn total, if that. I admit though, I am not crazy about RHSS for clothing, but she liked the colors.

Very cute. I really do like the colors, even though the RH wasn't a hit. It is perfect for a little girl.

That is a great pattern, and I love the colors you chose. I will remember that RH is not a great one for clothing. :P Great job! :clap

that is just so cute! I read what you said.. in what way do the teachers fuss over it? You mean they shower her with attention with how darling the things are you make for her? :)

Yes, apparently they ask her "questions" and touch her clothing, which embarrasses her. Also, she wore a poncho Imade out with my mother once and a few people approached her and told her they loved her poncho, etc. She was mortified. My daughter is quite a talker, but extremely shy with strangers.
