View Full Version : Honeycomb Shawl

I've just finished (or maybe finished .. still considering fringe) a shawl adapted from a stitch pattern found in a japanese pattern book. I don't know the name of the stitch, since I'm sadly almost monolingual >>grin<<, but it looks like a honeycomb to me, so that's what I'm naming it until I learn better.

Wow ALL of your shawls are beautiful. I really like this stitch, very pretty. And I think that's cool that it works from fingertip to fingertip.

hehehe.. worked that way because I haven't figured out how to make this stitch in a straight line. Only way I can make it is to increase or decrease. If I can figure out to work it straight I want to use it for a shrug too.

Neat looking shawl. I hope you can share the pattern stitch. It sure is unusual. The Japanese seem to be in the leading edge of developing neat looking stitches.
