Purrrrrrrrrrr... http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/animal/animal0083.gif

I'm planning to decorate my bathroom in a tropical motif (once I have a bathroom I can decorate), and these would be "purrrfect".

Yay! This is a super cute pattern. I just whipped one out for my cat. However, I'm very new to crocheting in the round, and was confused by this instruction.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Do NOT join, mark rnds

I may have misunderstood this, but basically what I did is after the adjustable loop, I ch 1, turned and then did RND 1. At the end of RND 1, I ch 1, turned and did RND 2. All without joining the round to make a formed shape, so instead it ended up being a big flat thing at the end. I was assuming that I somehow did this wrong, because then when it said to stuff I was looking at it going "But how? There's nothing to stuff yet." Am I misinterpreting something in the instructions? Was I simply not supposed to join the adjustable ring, but then slip stitch to join each rnd? Or is it done in a spiral, so there's no ss needed at the end of each rnd? Sorry to sound like such a dunce. Now I think I'm confusing myself even more, the more I type...! :eek

What does it mean do not join rounds, but mark them?

Please pardon me, I'm a 2 dimensional thinker.

Too cute. I need to make a couple of these for my tea cup doxie... who has a thing for cat toys. She treats the little mice and such as her "babies". I encourage the cat toys now b/c she used to select my TY beanie babies which I have had to put away so she won't hide them or chew on them. Thanks!!!!
