It's freeform... I just made as I went along. If you know the basic way to make a shrug which is just a rectangle sewn on the ends to make sleeves, then you could easily make this one. I wanted to work this up quickly so I did my v-stch with a treble crochet instead of a double crochet. Actually this was done in cheapy RH yarn (Light Fuschia) that was on sale at AC Moore for $1.59/skein (I'm a sucker for a sale!) And i did the ruffle trim in Caron Feathers (Peacock).

Very very cute!!!!! :U
My daughter has seen them in stores also and has asked me to try and make her one. All the girls are wearing them. I will say a little prayer and give one a try for her. She has two weeks till school starts so maybe I can get one done by then.:hook

Way cool! I think my grand daughter, Hannah would like one of these. She's 12 and a cheerleader. :cheer I try to make her hip chick things no one else can have. She was the first person to wear the furry flipp flops. She was at the ER with her dad and her little sister and all the nurses were oohing and aahing over her feet.

Poor Dad had a fall and cracked his tail bone, nobody paid much attention to his feet. lol!:think :think
