I'm looking for a pattern for a boys sweater size 8 or 10 using LB Homespun. The one on their label is perfect except that it's k**t and I can't knit! (well barely) :blush I'm making my Mom a poncho and want to make my nephew a sweater out of the same yarn. He's a size 8 now, but growing like a weed.....

OK, if he was a niece instead of a nephew, the homespun jacket at www.crochetkim.com (http://www.crochetkim.com) would be PERFECT, but those puff stitches are too girly. :think Is there a more masculine looking stitch that could be easily substituted? What would it look like if I worked 3 plain dc's instead of the puff? anh how would that work when I went to do the next row?

And WHY are there a gazillion patterns for girls and none for boys older than 2?:angry If he was a girl, a toddler or an adult this would be easier!
