I started this afghan 9 yrs ago, working on making the squares in my spare time and in between other projects. Then we moved two years ago and it was in storage for a year, almost finished but still needing two more squares made and the last 3 rows attached.
I finally finished it a couple of weeks ago. It's such a relief! :*ciam
Now I have to find another scrap yarn pattern so I can use up all the yarn that's left.
Every square has an off-white center, and the last row is black. They're all joined with black as well. Made with size "H" hook, 11 rows by 13 rows. And it's HEAVY!! My 9 yr Afghan (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sleepygal_1948/detail?.dir=155e&.dnm=b5e4.jpg&.src=ph)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/sleepystitcher/Crochet/GSAfghan1a.jpg
I tried to upload the picture but for some reason it refused to show up, so I just posted a link to it in my yahoo photo album. I hope it works.

I tried to see it but when I click the link it tells me the file I'm looking for is inaccessible. I think you have to make your photo album public for us to see it.
A lot of people here use www.photobucket.com to post their photos in the forum. It's free and easy if you'd like to check it out.
The afghan sounds great. And I love heavy blankets, they're so comforting.

Beautiful Job:danc I find this title amusing, :rotfl because just today I picked up an afgan that I started about 9 years ago to start working on again It is just the mile a minute afgan but the boys were younger then and I couldn't get it finished, maybe I will now.:shrug

WOW! It's great! Congratulations on finishing. I, too, used to be one to start things, get bored with them and put them in the closet. It's good to finish, isn't it?

Yes, it's wonderful to finally finish it!
I'm also a good one for starting something, finding I don't really like working on it and then stuffing it in a closet. I recently lost a few WIP's when we moved, along with some well-loved books. Right now I'm working on another afghan, and a knit hat. I know I'll finish these. The question is what to start on next.
