I have a preggie friend. :D She wants a cover up for breast feeding and I haven't been able to locate a pattern for a crocheted one. Anyone have any ideas? I cannot design anything! :think
:ty in advance!

Wouldn't a nice shawl be the ticket? Try crochetpatterncentral.com Rachel has some AWESOME links for shawls!! Or even a poncho!

I think any shawl or stole pattern that wasn't to lacy would work!

I made the Halcyon Shawl for my sister in law when she was expecting, partly for the story behind it and partly with the thought that she could use it as a cover-up while nursing. She really loves it and it was an easy pattern.

I second the idea of a shawl. And I will also say...the only times I have recieved complaints about nursing in public was when I was using a coverup. They make what you're doing obvious. I know how it is when you're new to nursing and don't want to accidentally flash someone, but the skill of lifting your shirt a bit is worth learning. I used to check myself in a mirror to make sure I was discreet. ;)

The wrap that I was thinking of is from that same issue - here's a link to it. (http://www.crochetme.com/Apr_May_2005/patt_privacy_wrap.html)

I made a simple poncho to cover me. I've used it alot while nursing. My baby doesn't like anything to heavy covering him up, so the lover's knot stitch helped.
