work up quickly where the pattern intertwines. Sorry having a hard time describing, One row of one color, another row of a different color but they mix together. I want to work up afghans in bright colors for my daughter and her friends. Something fun and bright.:cheer

Not sure if this is what you thinking but you can do an afghan using a stich like this:

Single crochet, ch 1, 1 sc, ch1 (the width of your afghan
Row 2:

skip 1st sc, sc in ch1 space, ch1

not sure this works up "Fast" but it will blend the colors.

Yup because you are doing the single crochet in the chain 1 space so while its a row - you still get a bunch of little lines down into the other color. I wish I had a picture to show you. I'm using this stitch to make placemats, a rug and matching discloths, etc. But I originally saw the pattern worked up on a baby afghan

I have hunted through books at Michaels and just haven't been able to find what I want but I think this will really work!
