I'm trying to figure a nice border for my great-neices blanket project. I will be using Lions Baby-Soft Sportweight yarn in Pastel Pink and wanted a nice lacey border that's not too hard for a beginner like me :D
Thank You

The last few things I have made, which needed an edging, I edged with an Eyelash type yarn to very good effect. I simply did a round of SCs doing 1 into each stitch across the ends and 1 into each row end and 1 where each row joins, then 3 into the corners stitch and they look great. This was on a ripple stitch afghan.
I have done it on other afghans & ponchos & hats.
Choose a multi coloured Eyelash yarn, with your main colour in it and it will even create a pattern as you go.
My mum loves her rug with it on as it feels nice and she often wakes up holding it in her hand as if she is still crocheting.
Have fun.

Oooh!!! Thanks Ya'll! :D
I'm going to try out a few of these on a test Granny Square (that's the same pattern as the afghan) :D
Thanks Again

Depending on her age, I think a fun fur border is a great idea. I mean, I personally wouldn't love it, but I know a bunch of preteen and younger girls would think it's really cute!
