I finally finished this afghan for my son's girlfriend. What a bugger this pattern was. Well ok,maybe it wasn't the pattern, but just me tired of working on it!

That's super pretty. It kinda looks like the one I'm working on for my mother. Which pattern did you use? Mine is just one out of a learn to crochet booklet.

what a great boyfriend's mom you are!! i don't know what i'm going to do when my guys get that old.... making blankets for little hussies is probably not top of the list - and yes i have a daughter as well, and no, she is not a little hussy because she's mine. and all the fellas she brings home will be a bunch of no-good punks, and no, i do not feel that way about my sons.........
hmmmmm, think i've got a double standard? somewhat of a hypocrit? :bad

That's lovely! I get tired of working on big ghans too ;) you are not alone lol

Rebecca, I have a son too and when he starts having girlfiends they will be little hussies too *grin* and nahhhh it's not a double standard. I'm sure if I had a daughter her bf's would be no good punks too and of course my son is not one of those ;) We're mommies, we're allowed lol

beautiful lori, what a nice mom you are. i bet your daughter is so proud of you, i can't do that though as my dd has about 10 fellas that she sees, and they all know it so she isn't a hussy!!!!:rotfl they all just hang around hoping....:rotfl :rotfl and son is just as bad:nana at this rate i will never have any grandkids:mad :rotfl vicki.p.s, and your being a mom rebecca, i am like that with my kids too, the boys always want to meet me as do my sons girlfriends and they all are crazy about my kids. oh well they are young 20 and 23 so i guess have a couple more years before i:th waiting for a grandkid!!!!:bad vicki

Oh wow! I hope that's a serious relationship. That's an awful lot of work for just a girlfriend.

Thank you for all of the compliments! Sure gives me that "warm fuzzy" feeling!
My son and his g/f have been together for almost a year, and she is such a sweet girl, I didn't mind putting the time into it!

I used a pattern out a Mile a Minute book that I have, and the stitches were just double crochets! I just kept reading it wrong, and got side tracked alot! Bet none of you have ever done that!
