I was trying hard to finish this jacket in time for the start of school and I made it. The basic pattern is the Western Jacket but I don't remember which book it was out of. I used TLC Lustre and probably won't use that yarn again as I didn't care for the way it split and frayed, but it turned out nice. I just hope it wears well. This is also my first sweater or top and I like that it turned out, even with my pattern adjustments, which were necessary for her thinness and length.
I changed the pattern to include a hood and in-seam pockets, which I made out of fleece for extra warmth. She also wanted matching fingerless gloves, which I used this pattern (http://www.crochetandknitting.com/gloves.htm) for, minus the fingertips.
