I finally finished this doily. The pattern is wonderful...but think next time I will use solid thread. Seems a little "busy"

Mary that's gorgeous, I think it's perfect, not too busy at all! I don't usually like variegated/ombres for thread but that is really lovely!

Love it Mary! if you had done it in blue variegated then it would look like the rippling water in a pond/lake! It sure doesn't look busy!! Where did you find the pattern!! You have done a great job!

You did a Wonderful job on that doily. :yay :cheer :yay It is Beautiful as it is. :D
Though I agree with you if I were to do it again I would do it in a solid. Might do two colors. I wish we could get thread like the Rainbow boucle yarn, That fades out slowly and back just as slowly. That would be awesome. :D

I thank all of you for your positive comments. The doily is large, a little larger than the original, because I used a larger hook. About 22 inches I think...can't measure it...I sent it as a piece for a winner takes all contest.
For those wanting the pattern, I will send you the link, from a Russian site as soon as I get home. I am at a family reunion is Texas, and all my goodies are on my computer at home.
Thank you again...you guys are just too nice for words!
