We celebrated Christmas with my family last weekend (won't be able to travel out again for Christmas and it's much nicer to celebrate in person!) and I gave my grandma her afghan and my aunt her holiday throw - which she pulled out of the wrapping and promptly wrapped around her shoulders as a wrap, lol. I guess it serves double duty!
The afghan is made with homespun covered bridge - the color here is terrible, but that's my camera's fault, lol. It's a dc ripple, big enough to cover a twin or full bed. She loved it, and so did my dad's cat. It is so soft ... she sat there stroking it and it put her to sleep right in that chair.

My aunt's gift in both it's forms - I used a holiday variegated with some gold glitter thread in it, brand/make unknown - it was a thrift store find, $3.98 for 12 skeins (woohoo!). I'm really pleased with how that turned out, that was just a make up as I went project.

I'm so happy with how both came out! I was finishing them on "Christmas" morning, lol, but that's because I was trying to finish too many projects in too little time.
:woohoo
