Here is my thread poncho using #3 variagated thread. It was a feebie pattern I picked up from my local ACmoore. It worked up rather quickly too.
What do you think?

It's beautiful. I'm only too familiar with those "sitting around a hospital waiting room" projects. I hope the worst of it is behind you.

Thanks everyone!! I hope the worst if over too - We just have to wait for him to heal up and then the doctors can remove the metal bar that is in his finger holding it straight. I can't imagine how this feels for him - Looking at it - I liken it to Chinese Bamboo torture. YUCK. He is on some good meds though to take the edge off and the swelling is just beginning to go down now.
Thank you so much for everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Hi Wendy!
This is a coats and clarks pattern and it can be found on there website. The picture is one done in peach - I'm not a peach person so I happened across the varigated blues/purples and decided to use that instead.

Very pretty and lovely color too. I commend you. I started that poncho and it was real slow going working with thread. I couldn't seem to get the first half done and ended up making it into a shrug. :blush

Jess - MCCrochets posted the link in this thread :)
My son is 18 - yes old enough to know better lol. Thankfully he has only had 2 accidents of this kind. He jokes around now because he will have matching scars on both middle fingers lol.
