Those look absolutely wonderful! I'm also in the process of making a few baby items for a shower I am going to TOMORROW!! I was wondering what is the best way to make the little "frilly puff ball" on the top of the beanie or hat? I seem to have trouble with that bit!!!:th

Bec - thanks for you nice commets and here's how I make the pom pom for the top: I wind yarn around and around a piece of cardboard or anything that happens to be handy and small enough! then I slip a length of yarn under the winding, pull it together and tie it tight. then just snip thru the "fold" of yarn, spread out the pom and trim it to size! It's easy - there may be other methods-but that is the one I use! Dar

those are really too precious to say!
i can't wait to try a baby sweater (again- the first one was junk:irked )
i'm interested in your take on the ease/toughness of the pattern you used:?

Thanks for your lovely comments. As for how hard the pattern was - it was unexpectedly easy! The green/yellow set was the first baby sweater I've ever done and it is Leisure Arts."soft layette set". The stitches just seemed to flow easily and I was so surprised! The blue and white set I found on the net, can't remember where but it was called "going home sweater set". It was not too hard, but the double crochets for some reason always trip me up (i.e. where to put the first stitch in the row). Good luck with your baby sweaters! Dar

I need to make a set for a friend of mine whose grandson is due in June I like the blue and white one and the socks you made for the yellow and green one. Do u have the pattern for the socks or does anyone know of a site that has patterns on easy socks or booties?

I did the same sweater- must be something about it that jumps out at new grandmother's to be. I made two- the last one in a sailor- white with blue trim and little red buttons.
