Embellishment to a Hat- Nevermind

Hello All! I am trying to figure out how to add a little embellishment to a hat. I wanted to do a bobble trim-like thing around the hat. I was thinking :think (which could be a bad thing sometimes) that I wanted to do three rounds of an alternating bobble around. The hat is 60 sc around. How exactly would I go about doing this? Is this best to be done with some graph paper and colored pencils?
