Hey! I made this pony (shown by a skein of RHSS for size comparison) for my son's Christmas from the Perfect Pony (http://members.optusnet.com.au/we2/perfectpony.html) pattern, which is really cool. It had a lot of small errors in it, but I was able to figure them out to make this awesome 'horsie.'

Including the ears, he's 19 1/2 inches tall, and I imagine my son will give him a name eventually, lol! It only took just over one 7 oz. skein of RHSS to make the body (if they still had 8 oz skeins it'd only have taken one, grrrrrrr), and obviously smaller amounts of the contrast colors. Now that's a good use for one skein of yarn!

Melissa,
You did a beautiful job on that pretty little pony!!!!! And you gave a lot of people a great Christmas gift idea. I'm going to start on one today. I have two to make before Christmas and a lot of yarn I got for pennies at a yard sale this weekend.
You do beautiful work.

What problems did you run into with the problem?
The only part that gave me problems was the body, after the neck. It ended up all . . . ripply . . . on top. If I ever make it again (which I might, it's terribly cute) I'll probably just wing it on my own once I get to that point.
As it is, I employed a clever use of stuffing to help even out the ripples. The saddle helps cover it, too! :lol
