Has anyone out there seen the movie Rock Star with Jennifer Aniston (Rachel from Friends)?
The pink crochet dress she is wearing at her boyfriend's first concert when he became the lead singer for his favorite band is really beautiful!! It is hard to get a good look at it though. I have watched this movie at least 200 times just trying to get a good look at the dress. My DVD player has a button to push to see scenes at different angles, but this hasn't helped me either.
I would really love to find the pattern for this. It looks like it is a cap sleeved dress and it comes with a shrug with 3/4 length sleeves.
Any ideas as to where I can find a pattern for this or a better picture of the dress.
My soon to be daughter-in -law would love to have one for her honeymoon. She would also like to wear it to one of my son's concerts since he is an up and coming rock star.
Thanks

Yarnbunny

Warning: Don't open any of the sites showing clips from the movie. They have a Trojan Horse virus attached to them. Thank you Kathy for reminding me to edit my original message. I don't want to infect any ones computer.

EDITED TO DELETE POSSIBLE THREAT LINKS; sorry guys; I didn't have any problems, but apparently some of you did, so they're gone now; this is the rest of the original post:

It looks like a simple, body-hugging dress with speghetti straps, done in some sort of popcorn stitch. The shrug seems to have some sort of spiderweb pattern at the throat & a ruffle, although I can't totally tell if it's actually on the dress because her hair is in the way in the first photo, but it looks to me like it's not on the dress. I'm looking through my patterns I have bookmarked, and so far this is the closest thing I've come to the dress:

I'll keep looking later when I have more time.

*crosses fingers* I didn't see the warning before clicking, but so far Zone Alarm hasn't popped on them. I'll have hubby double check though just to be sure.

My AVG had spotted them and now I am running a scan and will let it go thru while I head back to work.. I also have my other virus scanner scanning too.

I didn't see the warning either, and nothing bad happened. (Of course I use Mozilla Firefox and have popup blocker and AVG and who knows what else.)

My scan identified it as a "downloader trojan" and cleaned it.

Be careful, make sure your Virusscan is updated!

DO NOT OPEN THE ABOVE SITES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the warnings. They opened just fine but then my Spyware popped up and did a sweep and said I had 604 infections on my computer!!!!!!!!!!!! Not good since I am at work and I am not supose to be playing around.

Thank you, Jen, for trying. Maybe I'll try watching the DVD on my sons computer and see if I can get some better pics.
And if anyone else out there has seen the movie and has any patterns close to that dress, please let me know.

I opened them before I saw the warning because I hadn't scrolled that far. Nothing happened yet but if I get something, I'm going to be ******.

Yes I've seen that movie like a million times. My sister has it or I'd watch it and tell you what I think. Haven't seen it in a couple years though. lol

If there's a trojan attached to those links, one of the moderators needs to delete the link or Jen needs to delete them from her post!

I didn't have any problems with any of those links.

If there's a trojan attached, you may not know it right away. Do you have a working virus scanner? If so, you might want to run it. DO NOT shut down your computer until you've ran a virus scanner program.

I ran everything, and I've got nothin. My computer is just fine.

Jen you could delete this pics anyway since they seem to have made several peoples virus scan detect something wrong? :think

Okay, figured out what it is. It's a virus, buy it's a spyware virus. It isn't actually a threat to your computer, but it can get annoying. It is called Vundo. I had it once before. If anyone needs help getting rid of it, I can point the way. I'm sorry guys! They were images I found on Google... :embar

Ok....I have a question on this virus/trojan thing. I opened the link to the pics but I didn't receive any type of alert. I have Norton, it was running and it was decently up to date. I've run my Norton and my Ad Aware and I haven't had anything come up. What are the chances that I did *not* get this on my computer? Anybody know?

Can anyone advise me where to go from here? :think

BTW...I use Netscape and not MSIE.

TIA

Norton would pop up with a message about it if it found it. I'd say you didn't get it if it didn't find anything.

"Decently up-to-date"? - I would update my virusscan then run it again, just to be on the safe side.

That's why I love my MAC. No viruses. No updating DAT files. No dreaded blue screens saying I'm performing an illegal move, or whatever it said. LOL. Errr...I wish we could rid the computer world of these people who spend their lives making viruses!

Thanks Jen and CrochetFun...

I guess I just don't understand how some got it and some didn't, and I'm being paranoid about it. I did update my virus definitions and I've run it a few times since and nothing has come up. I'm thinking/hoping I'm in the clear. :)

Thanks again!

It's a matter of how good your protection is or if you even have any. You being generic.
I ran my scans and nothing showed up. :)

Well, for one thing, Internet Explorer is EXTREMELY unsecure, so anyone who uses that browser PROBABLY got it, unless they have REALLY good security. Just having Norton isn't really enough. Since you said you use Netscape, that could simply be why you're okay!

I agree (having talked it over with a computer-savvy friend) :)
