I'm looking for a cat afghan.:D This is made from about 12 large granny square. It is a cat with a big bow on it. Or something like it. Thanks for the help.

Here's a link to the pattern...

If I can give you some advice... I made this afghan for a friend of mine and it was an undertaking and a 1/2... This is made up of over 300 little squares... Mine weren't 12", they were more like 6" each... Anyway, it's beautiful when finished but don't expect this to be a quick and easy project... In fact, the only reason I haven't posted a pic of it yet is because I can't bring myself to sit down for 2 hours and weave in the ends of over 300 squares! LOL Good luck with yours!!!!

Oh what a beautiful pattern! I HAVE to make it and I don't even have a cat. I have made many afghans with those little squares and its much easier to weave in the ends as you finish a square. Then when you begin to sew the rows together weave in the ends on each row as they are sewn together. Then you don't have to have that dreaded job of going back to weave them all in.

If only I would have done that while making it!! LOL I did make mine a little different though. Instead of making all the squares and whipstitching them together afterward, I made the squares and connected them as I made them. When I would get to the corners, I would SC in the square I was joining it to and then the same thing at the CH1 space in the middles of the squares. That actually saved me quite a bit of time. I just didn't have enough foresight to weave in the ends as I was doing it....
