There are a few friends that I would like to make a small gift for. Trouble is, I am not very good with thread projects yet, so I'd like something done in yarn. The quicker and easier to make, the better. What are your favorite christmas gift patterns? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

ETA: Friends are all females in their 30's. :)

Hmm..you could do a small basket for them..like a themed basket. My favorite one to give is a bath basket, crocheted or knitted cloths, bath pillow, bubble bath (which can be homemade) and chocolates or a book!

Sorry -- stupid question alert!-- but how do I find your links? i love the idea of doing a stocking and filling it with little tid bits. :)

i think dots ditty bag is a great thing to crochet as a gift...it can be filled with all sorts of little goodies depending on what age...my sister even asked me to make her two in a homespun she picked out (using homespun, the ditty bag comes out a bit larger)...and she is putting a few things from bath and body in it and giving it out as an exchange at her place of work...so, that can be made for little girls, teens and adult women!
