What type of yarn do you dye with KoolAid? Or does it have to be yarn that you spin yourself? I would love to try it, but not sure if it would work on commercial yarns???

has to be a protien based yarn like wool or mohair.. or something of that sort.. animal hair etc.. not a synthetic

Should you dye the yarn first or make the item and felt it first before dying? I am itching (I'll probably use wool then!) to try both of these! :box

i would dye then felt .. but that is up to you
