I spent a lovely Indian Summer Day looking at yarn.
I visited Yarnware in West Orange,
New Jersey(www.yarnware.com (http://www.yarnware.com)) and also
Modern Yarn, 32 A church Street in Montclair, New Jersey
(www.modernyarn.com) (http://www.modernyarn.com%29).
Both shops had a great selection of yarns and staff were friendly and helpful.

There are now 3 yarn shops in Montclair
1)modern yarn

The place was filled with knitters not a crochet person in sight beside myself.
I knit true left hand-I want to learn how to knit socks and I cannot find anyone who can teach me-everyone wants me to knit right handed or continental including the owner of this shop. The yarns were beautiful and atmosphere great but i still felt unfortable.
3)Ely's
this is an old fashioned store-not sure the age of the yarns or books but owner was friendly and helpful.
