Here is my first doily, the pattern is actually for a placemat http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/lffunt/pineplace.htm
in worsted weight yarn, but it came out perfectly fine in lustersheen (from the falling leaves yarn swap!). I enjoyed using the lustersheen, its very soft. Well, not much else to say. Enjoy!

I like to use luster sheen as well, but it is almost impossible to find now. Have you tried their replacement? It's called Royale. It's the same thickness, but the look isn't as soft. I don't know, to me it looks a bit slick. I'm not so sure that is the correct word to describe it.

Donna:This is the first time I've used Lustersheen, it came on a cone and I think its the "old" one. Have you tried the Senso line of threads from DMC? Its they have nice a nice variety of different threads made from wool, cotton, and and microfiber.
Debi: I think it's about one foot across.
i'm glad everybody liked my first doily.
