Yayyy....I finished my first felted bag and it turned out just like I had envisioned if u can believe it.
Mostly hdc, the pre-felted size was 14x23inches

and the after felting was about 16 x 16 or so. It shrunk mostly widthwise.

I'm not sure, but I may felt it one more time yet. It's big enough to carry my project on the go anywhere.
I loosely used Marlo's super size tote pattern (http://www.marloscrochetcorner.com/Crochet%20on%20the%20go%20bag.html), but changed the handles by chaining 100 chains and sc up and down it.

I know I'll be doing more felting.

Did you still use 2 strands when crocheting the bag? I have some yarn I would like to try to use to make a felted bag using that same pattern. I'm just not sure if I have enough to do double strand.

I only used one strand of wool throughout. It felt kinda puny, but I had to keep reminding myself of the felting process "fixing all". Nice to try a mystery crochet technique.
