Yesterday I was shopping at the local thrift store and found what I think was a fabulous deal. I found a large bag 22 ( 40 yard) skeins of 100% virgin wool, needlepoint yarn in a gorgeous dark sagey green color( all in the same dye lot) for only $2! Now I've never fulled/felted anything before and I've fallen in love with the lovely things you ladies have been making and want to try my hand at it. I'm thinking a purse or bag of some sort, maybe some slippers or a hat and mitten set. Where do I find patterns? I googled but came up empty. Is this even the right type of yarn? Thanks Sonny

go to marloscrochetcorner.com (http://marloscrochetcorner.com) She has some patterns. You could also go to your library and get books out on felting.

as far as i know, it should work... as for a pattern, from what i understand... use a larger hook than what you normally would for the yarn and sc --- works best.

make anything you'd like, just larger than what you would want it, and it will shrink down.

marlo's are the only actual patterns that i know of, right off the top of my head.

gee, wasn't i helpful :blush :p
