Although I have never heard of felting or fulling before coming here a few weeks ago, it didn't take many before/after pictures to make me want to try it. The cost of wool for an experiment was holding me back.
Today, however, I went to the local thrift store and found a 100% wool sweater for $2 that I have been diligently ripping apart. (I felt a little guilty at first, but I felt better that it didn't seem to be a handmade item.) I have no specific pattern in mind yet, but some kind of bag seems best so I don't have to worry too much about how much it will shrink.
