I made this a while back but thought i would share. it was the first time for me using beads and i loved it. have made quite a few ponchos but never thought i would make one for me but i did and i have worn it lots of times.:hook

it was very easy to make as you make your squares first and then join them together. i think there are 15 beads on each, i had to make them a little bigger than the pattern as i had to use different wool. i used DK and the beads are 6 mm white pearls.:hook

Hookedoncrochet i thought it would be hard to work with beads but it was so easy. for the poncho you make squares so you thread the amount of beads onto your yarn, i think it was 15 for each square then you follow the pattern and it told me when to pull up a bead then thread beads for the next square and voila.

That's a great poncho! Bravo! :clap I love the color and the fringe and the beads and that yarn (what brand is it?).

I always wondered how one would add beads and you just answered my question (ie., threading on the proper amount before starting and then pulling one at a time up when needed).

It's been wild to see ponchos back in style again for another generation to enjoy. It's about time! :D
