Felted bag - pockets before or after felting?

Hi - working on my very first felted bag, and I'd like to add several pockets. Should I add them in before I felt the bag, or make squares to felt separately and sew in after felting? Thanks for any advice!!

i would make them and felt them with the bag and sew on later... just a thought.. if you sew them on they may not felt the same or end up pulling on your bag in weird ways

Thanks - you're probably right...but I just went ahead and did it anyway. And it seems to have worked! The bag felts up nicely and is drying now. There's no strange distortion from the outside, just a little bulge as I have a plastic bag inside each pocket. It's looking like it's going to work; I'll post a photo if anyone's interested, when it's all done.
