I've been trying to teach myself Tunisian Crochet (because I don't have nearly enough to do!) and really like some of the results. I especially like the knit stitch. Now I'm trying to figure out cables, and I haven't got a clue. I saw the tutorial on BellaOnline (http://www.bellaonline.org/articles/art4183.asp), and I went through it a couple of times, and it's just not working out for me. No matter how loose I try to do it, it comes out tight and flat, and looks nothing like her example.

Does anyone have any insight?

Thanks,

Mary

I've recently begun using the tunisian stitches and really like them too. I haven't tried a cable yet, but it's on the list of "things to do once Christmas is survived" list- LOL I recently bought a book, 101 Tunisian Crochet Stitches and LOVE it it has lots of cables and puffs, clusters and shells for tunisian. I got mine at Hobby Lobby and have seen it at Annie's attic. Sorry I couldn't specifically help, but you too may enjoy the book.

Thanks, Katie. I'll keep an eye out for that book, although we don't have Hobby Lobbys around here.

I tried that a while ago and ended up with a tight, ugly mess. I put it down, meaning to try it again later but I never did. I don't know what the secret is, but I wanted to let you know you weren't alone.
