My mom, who makes blankets for Project Linus, had a very productive October and November--she made 16 blankets in about 6 weeks. :hook Smokin' hookin'!! :lol Anyway, here are photos of 11 of them. She's been experimenting with non-pastel colors now (and in larger sizes for toddlers and small kids), and making up some patterns of her own. They may already exist out there somewhere, but since she doesn't own any pattern books and her pc is no longer hooked up the internet, I know she's coming up with these on her own and any resemblance to anyone else's patterns is purely coincidental. Take a look, give us your opinion (I pass them on to Mom) and Happy December!!

one of her own designs; she hasn't come up with a name, so for now it's her open line pattern--5 rows of dc, followed by a row of *dc, ch1* to give an open line of mesh:

Your mother does beautiful (and fast!!) work. I love all the colors she used. There are still plenty of people who like pastels for babies. Bright colors for toddlers really seems to have caught on, too, I've noticed.
Yay! :yay for your mom. One of my NY's resolutions is gonna be to make more for charity. Thanks for the inspiration :U

Ok what's her secret?! How does she keep her wrists from dropping off her arms?! And can I adopt her?
Tell her she is truly gifted and I am green with envy!!
And Project Linus is lucky to have her on board!
