I got the pattern here: http://wovenspun.com/fp_veesocks.htm

My first pair of crocheted socks :cheer I used Sinfonia cotton in Matizado Azules.

But I also have a question... I have a young lady interested in me making her a pair of these. How much should I charge her? I didn't want to go below $20 but my boo's telling me not to go below $30 since they're pure cotton/original, etc. I mean, if she really wanted them she would at least bargain with me right?

Brandy, I love 'em! The pattern does not mention how much yarn to use, so would you please tell us how much it took for yours?

As for price, figure how much the yarn cost you. How long did it take you to make the socks? I can't imagine anyone paying $30 for a pair of socks. Actually, I can't imagine anyone paying $20 for a pair of socks, either, but I think that might be a reasonable representation of your time and cost.

Those are gorgeous!

It's been a long time since I've sold anything, and even then it was only afghans and baby blankets, but for socks I would think that $20-$30 would be a steep price for a pair of socks. I'm not at all familiar with the Sinfonia cotton you used, but if that's an expensive fiber why not use a just-as-nice, but less expensive sock yarn for the project? You've really done a fabulous job and even though you certainly can negotiate the price, you wouldn't want to turn your buyer off with the initial sticker shock (though you could always find out what she is willing to pay upfront to see if this is worth it to you as well).

Good luck. :)

It only took them roughly 150 g of the yarn. Sinfonia is just a pure cotton yarn by Omega made in Mexico. They didn't take me too long (about a day) to make since it's pretty open work.

All of your help is greatly appreciated guys. I'm so new to this :blush
