I am confused. Are puff stitch and bubble stitch two different things or the same?
(I wish the names were more consistent.)

ok here is what i found out for you. in my crochet stitch bible a puff stitch is normally a group of three or more hdc stitches joined at both top and bottom
:hook now for the bobble stitch
a bobble is usually a group of several doubles or longer stitches joined at both top and bottom. It is often surrounded by shorter sts and worked on a wrong side row. so in theory the bobble looks wider in picture cos you do it more times in same place. they are very similar though. hope this helps :wgrin

Thanks for your reply.
Here is something I have done before and refer to as the Puff stitch:

Then I saw this:

and I am wondering whether it is the same type of stitch or a different one?
Does anyone know?

Thanks so much for trying.:) Right now there seems to be a problem connecting to craftsters.
If you get to see it you'll see that it is a nice solid pattern, suitable for baby and animal blankets/pads and probably many other things.
