Hi...I'm new! and I found you guys because I desparately want to find this one pattern for a christmas tree. :drool A woman here at work has it and it was made for her over twenty years ago. It is approximately 18-20 inches high. It looks big enough to sit over a small teapot but is stands on it's own. It has a solid smooth interior with ruffles on the exterior for the branches. After it is done you can decorate it...can anyone help? if so I would be on :c9 . I haven't crocheted in years (but I have a great big box of scrapbooking and cross-stitching to show for it) but this pattern will bring me back quickly!
Thanks so much!

I know this isn't the same thing, but this site http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/cwhome.html has a toilet paper holder tree.
Here is another standing tree (9 inches tall) that calls for thread: http://members.optusnet.com.au/we2/xmastree.html
This one is about 12 inches tall and uses regular yarn:

And this one is supposed to be a beginner pattern:

If you want to adjust the size of the tree, here is one that tells you how to do that:

These are probably not the exact pattern, but maybe you will find one that you like just as well. Welcome back to the world of crocheting and welcome to the board.

Hi Shannon...it looks pretty similar...Thanks so much! :clap Now I just gotta reteach myself how to do the stitches necessary.
The thread tree is beautiful...I might have to try that after I get my crocheting chops back!

You're welcome. I'm glad you saw a couple that you liked. In looking the patterns up for you, I ended up seeing all sorts of Christmas stuff I'd like to make. Of course, I never plan far enough ahead to do these sorts of things when there is a "deadline". I'll have to keep these things in mind for next year.
