:think Does anyone have a pattern for a crocheted tie? My husband wants me to make him a tie but I dont have a good pattern for it. Thanks a million!:think

I got a pattern for a tie for you. its from an old 70 crochetboek. If you want than I have to translate it for you :D

I tried the above pattern and have given up-- at least temporarily. The pattern makes no sense as written once you start to make the tie, and-- at least for me-- the tie turned out crooked. I plan to go back to it eventually and work out the kinks and come up with a better pattern, but it'll be a while. And the tie itself takes a long time to make because it's all single crochet with thread. But it could be a really nice-looking tie if you have the patience-- and time-- for it. Certainly much better looking-- imo-- than the other tie patterns I've found. But like I said, the pattern seems to have several flaws that need working out.

One hint concerning the above pattern: ignore the 5's and 8's written at the beginnings of the rows; just sc across. There must be some technical error there.
